Supporting our local schools

We are a local agency with over 20 years experience within the Derby Education and recruitment marketplace.

Quite simply we work in partnership with our clients to provide an honest transparent service and enable them to communicate with us via their preferred method whether that be call, email, text/whatsapp.

We place candidates in our local schools on a long term, day to day, temp to perm, or direct permanent basis.

We are personally contactable out of hours to discuss any last minute requirements.

Giving something back!

We love to support our schools on a voluntary basis to assist with careers events such as mock interviews, cv workshops etc, alongside sponsoring in-school pupil incentives such as attendance awards. If you are planning an event and would like to ask for any assistance whether it be a prize for a tombola at your summer fair, or even an extra pair of hands to help out, its always worth an ask!

Keeping Children Safe in Education

At Enlightenment Education we fully understand the checks required to place our candidates into a school environment. We are proud to say that we go above and beyond the Department For Education’s “Keeping Children Safe in Education” recommendations.

As part of our stringent recruitment and vetting process, we carry out the following checks;

  • DBS Checks – every 6 months
  • Children’s barred list check – every 6 months
  • Prohibition Checks (NCTL) – every 6 months
  • Disqualification by Association declaration
  • Minimum of 2 years work history fully referenced
  • 10 year work history with any gaps investigated
  • Proof of Identity – documents seen and verified
  • Proof of Address – documents seen and verified
  • Proof of Qualifications – documents seen and verified
  • Face to Face interview with all candidates
  • On-line safeguarding and prevent training completed prior to first placement

*If your school or MAT has any additional vetting requirements we are always more than happy to discuss and tailor our process to ensure we adhere to them.
